As a child, my Nana (Italian for ‘grandma’) sang children’s songs and with me.  She had a beautiful voice.  One of my faves was “This little light of mine.”  If you don’t know it – don’t worry.  I will not sing it to you.  But I will give you the next sentence.  This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.

I have always felt that we each have a flame aglow in our heart center.   The flame is a symbol of how joyfully we are living.  We are the protectors of this glow.  Do you believe in this light?  Maybe you have another name for it – possibly spirit, soul, inspiration, the divine….

I believe as you glow brilliantly, you are likely to fuel others and cause a chain reaction. Everyone can do this in their own unique way.  For me, I hope to share this glow via Blissed-out, Fit and Feisty.  I wish to ignite those who I meet in person or on-line via the BFF Magazine, Facebook, and Instagram.  Then they can continue paying it forward.

Can you imagine sparking this fire of joy in others, so they can touch the life of their loved ones in turn? Less horns will be honking on the streets of Manhattan and more people will treat others with loving kindness and compassion for humans.

Join me in starting this joyous revolution.

Have you ever thought about how you protect your flame?

A friend, Allie H, shared this on Instagram and I thought it was perfect:

To protect my energy, it is okay to change my mind.  (I told my husband it’s a right we have as women.)

To protect my energy, it is okay to cancel a commitment.

To protect my energy, it is okay to take a day off.

To protect my energy, it is okay to not answer that call.

To protect my energy, it is okay to not share myself.

To protect my energy, it is okay to do nothing.

To protect my energy, it is okay to be alone.

To protect my energy, it is okay to sleep in.

To protect my energy, it is okay to speak up.  (Be feisty.)

To protect my energy, it is okay to move on.

To protect my energy, it is okay to let go.

To protect my energy, it is okay to change.
