Where She Comes From
Long Island. Fashion Institute. New York City.
Gina grew up on Long Island, the oldest of three and the daughter of an immigrant. She learned early what it means to build something from nothing ... and what it can cost when the life being built no longer fits.
She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, studied Buying and Merchandising, then earned a second degree in Marketing. Her career began on the buying floors of New York City, where image, instinct, and desire were never separate from strategy.
At 28, she called off a wedding. Not because something was wrong on paper. Because somewhere inside her, she knew the life being offered was not the life meant for her.

The Moment Everything Shifted
A Sunday morning. A mug of tea. A question she never expected to ask.
In 2008, Gina’s husband became critically ill. Sitting in her yard, watching the sun on the grass, she found herself asking for something she had never imagined asking for.
She had become so skilled at performing life that she had stopped fully inhabiting it.
That moment gave language to something she had felt long before she had a name for it. And once she had the word, she could not unknow it.

Gina created Underliving™, a word for the quiet disconnection that can happen inside lives that look successful from the outside.
