We seldom speak of the judgment accompanying the journey of up-leveling our lives and making a more significant impact, but we intensely feel this. It induces guilt, sadness, and a sense of isolation in our pursuits.
A recent encounter with a Super Yacht named Water Lilly in Dana Harbor triggered a discussion on perspectives. While my admiration soared, my husband questioned the need for such a colossal vessel.
Our opposing opinions ignited a conversation about perspective. While my husband saw impracticality, I saw a masterpiece, a floating work of art. This clash led to a cascade of questions, from the design process to the hands that crafted the marvel. The Water Lilly, I realized, was not just a vessel but a livelihood for countless individuals – designers, architects, artisans, and the crew.
Transitioning from the external marvel to the internal reflections, I delved into the symbolic meaning of a waterlily. Beyond its beauty, it represents unity, finding peace, and balance. In Buddhism, it signifies transcending the mundane world to reach a spiritual one – what I consider Exquisitely Aligned.
The truth is, judgment comes from two places; fear and jealousy. Neither of which have anything to do with you, and everything to do with the person judging you.
This encounter is a potent metaphor for life, challenging us to release judgment and encouraging us to perceive the world in a new light. It is our invitation to activate our Super selves and shift from ordinary to extraordinary.
